COBARION bezel and Dura Soft Fluoro Rubber Band
Shock-resistant full-metal design with Bluetooth® GPS radio-controlled solar-powered timekeeping

From MR-G, the top of the G-SHOCK lineup, comes a new limited-edition radio controlled model with Bluetooth®, GPS, and solar power.
This model was designed and engineered in the image of the JYURYOKU MARU, a MR-G original Japanese sword.
The case is made of the Japan-developed new alloy known as Cobarion, which provides superior hardness and a beautifully radiant finish.
Deep violet Arc Ion Plating (AIP) gives the metal a cassius purple finish that is also traditionally Japanese, while highly functional Dura Soft Fluoro Rubber is used for the band to provide the very best in both durability and comfortable fit.
State-of-the-art materials and finishing technology create a distinctive level of strength and beauty, through elegance and hues that are both bold and delicate.
Function-wise, this watch includes a time adjustment system capable of obtaining data via Bluetooth®, GPS signals, and time signals, along with other powerful features and functions made possible by original technology, Japanese traditional aesthetic sense combined with the latest that technology has to offer in a magnificent new timepiece.

* GPS hybrid radio-controlled solar combines CASIO's own solar power charging system, positioning using a Global Positioning System (GPS), and reception of time calibration signals around the world.

MR-G original Japanese sword JYURYOKU MARU
Traditional craftsmen brought together to create an original Japanese sword with a MR-G motif.

Tradition and innovation, one-of-a-kind dignity.

Strength and beauty honed to perfection. COBARION® Bezel
The bezel of the MRG-G2000RJ is made of COBARION, a material that was developed in Japan that makes it possible for traditional Japanese artisans to create a work of strength and beauty. Each bezel is individually carved from a solid block of very hard metal. Then Sallaz polishing is used to bring the surface to a beautiful, distortion-free finish.

Traditional Japanese Coloring. AIP® (Arc Ion Plating)
Bezel surfaces are finished using Arc Ion Plating (AIP®), which is harder than Diamond Like Carbon (DLC), for outstanding wear resistance. A deep violet AIP® finish gives the bezel the same traditional craftsmanship hue that is similar to the image color of the JYURYOKU MARU.
* AIP® is a registered trademark of KOBE STEEL, LTD.

Special specifications that embody the skill of artisans who created these watches.

The symbol of strength. Case back
The characters Jyuryoku are hand engraved on the back covers of the watches by swordsmith Teruhira Kamiyama (who also had a role in crafting the JYURYOKU MARU) using the same technique as that employed for engraving names into the blades of Japanese swords. Jyuryoku means "gravity", which is the meaning of the "G" in both G-SHOCK and MR-G.
