The skills of an artisan create the look of a fine sword.
Shock-resistant full-metal design with Bluetooth® and GPS radio-controlled solar-powered timekeeping
From the MR-G line of premium G-SHOCK timepieces comes a new limited-edition solar-powered model with Bluetooth®, and GPS in a design created in collaboration with GASSAN, one of Japan's top swordsmiths.
The hefty solid titanium band is designed with the characteristics of a sword’s nakago (tang). The middle segments of the band are personally marked by swordsmith Sadanobu Gassan with a yasurime (file mark) pattern and carved with an inscription. The result is a band that captures all the power and beauty of a handmade Japanese sword.
In addition, a COBARION® bezel in the motif a sword’s kissaki (tip), a recrystallized titanium case that captures the feel of the blade's hamon, a deep violet AIP® that recreates the look of heated and forged steel, and more help to incorporate the attention to fine detail embodied in Japanese traditional craftsmanship and advanced technology.
Function-wise, this watch includes a time adjustment system capable of obtaining data via Bluetooth®, GPS signals, and time signals, along with other powerful features and functions made possible by original technology.
Only 300 of these special timepieces made possible through fine sword craftsmanship will be available worldwide.
*GPS hybrid radio-controlled solar combines CASIO's own solar power charging system, positioning using a Global Positioning System (GPS), and reception of time calibration signals around the world.
CONNECTED ENGINE 3-WAY
Time calibration signals, GPS satellite signals, and Bluetooth® can all be used to correct the current time setting.
Links with a smartphone for more accurate timekeeping and access to a host of mobile link functions.
CASIO’s original solar-charging system converts not only sunlight but also light from fluorescent lamps and other sources into power.
